Activities

Capacity-building

The project will encompass extensive training programmes for the local authorities’ representatives and ZELS staff, as well as for ECEC and school staff. The design of the training programmes will be based on a training needs analysis. The recruitment process of the training participants will include development of a Recruitment Methodology and implementation of info sessions in each of the municipalities. An e-library will be also developed, including a variety of educational resources, both materials that have been applied in the trainings and related materials produced by other stakeholders.

Preparing local strategies for children’s rights

The involved municipalities will be continuously supported in developing and operationalizing strategies for children’s rights through a participative process. This process will include: organisation of an International Conference and Local Conferences; establishment of Local Children’s Rights Panels responsible for designing, facilitating and coordinating the development and implementation and monitoring of the local strategies; carrying out consultations with children to inform the priorities set out the local strategies and the provision of support sessions in each of the target municipalities.

Digital Child Rights Monitoring Platform

To facilitate effective monitoring while integrating digital tools, the project will lead to the development of a Digital Child Rights Monitoring Platform. This Platform will serve as a virtual space that will enable involved stakeholders to track, change and highlight outcomes from the local strategies implementation. It will be designed and developed through a participative process, and pilot tested by the main target audiences. Relevant staff from the target municipalities will be trained to use the platform and regularly update the information and data.

Awareness raising campaign

The awareness raising activities will ensure maximum impact of project activities and guarantee effective visibility and dissemination of project results. These will include, development of visual identity, information materials and the project website, as well as an array of outputs such as a Best Practices Report, video testimonials and podcasts. A final conference will be held to inform relevant stakeholders and the wider public about the achievements and lessons learnt within the project, present project results and outputs, exchange experiences and impact, and promote the uptake and mainstreaming of the results.
