As a part of the project, a three-day training of trainers was conducted from January 22 to 24, 2024, intended for representatives of the local self-government and educational staff from schools and kindergartens in the municipalities of Veles, Debar, Gostivar, Vinica, Kisela Voda and ZELS.
Strengthening the capacities of local self-government and educational staff directly stimulates and support the realization of visions for child-friendly cities, which take into account the needs and well-being children and young people in their municipality, as well as the exchange of knowledge with other units of the local self-government.
In order to enable the exchange of cross-sector practices on the potential challenges in establishing child friendly cities, a visit was made to the municipality of Ohrid, which gave the participants an opportunity to discuss issues related to inclusion of children in local decision-making.
