On April 15, the 5th Steering Committee meeting of the project “Place to Grow – Child Friendly Municipalities” was held.
Together with representatives from the municipalities of Debar, Gostivar, Veles, Vinica, and Kisela Voda, we discussed the progress in finalizing and adopting strategic and action plans for children’s rights at the local level.
During the meeting, the first version of the monitoring platform for municipal strategic plans was also presented, which will enable transparency and tracking of progress towards achieving the set goals.
Together with the municipalities, we also defined the upcoming activities where children will directly participate, through video podcasts, which will:
- Promote children’s rights and active participation in local planning
- Raise awareness on issues affecting children
- Encourage children to share their views, ideas, and concerns
This activity is part of a broader effort to build inclusive and responsible municipalities – where children’s voices are heard and respected.
The final results of the project are made possible thanks to the sincere commitment and support of the municipalities.
