📢It is with great pleasure that we announce the International Conference: Create your place to grow, organized within the framework of our project Place to grow: child friendly municipalities.
👥🗣Our primary goal is to encourage cooperation for the promotion of children’s rights, and in addition, enabling local authorities in the country to gain insight into the practices of local authorities in European Union countries that have many years of experience in local planning for children.

✅ Learning from the experiences of the EU
📌The conference is designed to serve as a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences and best practices in the implementation of child-friendly initiatives across Europe, which will ultimately facilitate more effective and impactful efforts to protect children’s rights.
🗣Representatives from the offices of UNICEF from Austria, Germany and Greece, the municipality of Katerini from Greece, the municipality of Krefeld from Germany, will provide an insight into the practices applied by local authorities in the European Union who are dedicated to children and who have many years of experience in local planning for the children.
🎯The conference aims to raise the awareness of municipalities about the necessity of involving children and youth directly in the process of creating their municipality and a place for growth. The theme of the event is:
💯 “How to create better places in which children and young people would grow and develop”.
🧒👧For this purpose, we invite children and youth as well as representatives of children from schools to be direct participants of the International Conference.
💬Also, representatives of children and young people from Macedonia will convey their opinion to adults about the importance of municipalities being dedicated to children.
🗣👥 Some of the young people will appear as moderators, presenters, speakers, and all present children together with adults will be able to jointly participate in the creation of their vision for a child-friendly municipality.

👥Representatives of local authorities, UNICEF in Macedonia, civil society organizations, academics and youth and children will take part as speakers at the conference, sharing experiences, lessons learned, and encouraging children’s involvement in local planning.
